Slate Thoughts:

    • We finally have a relatively easy pitching slate in terms of cash games. Shane  Bieber will be locked in as your SP1 while Tyler Glasnow is the clear SP2. Some may opt for Jacob deGrom as their SP1 but Bieber’s production in 2020 has been unbelievable and he’s the clear-cut guy for me. Rich Hill and Robbie Ray may also get some SP2 ownership with offenses like the Chicago White Sox in an elite spot on this slate. I’d rather spend up on Glasnow at SP2 and use a few underpriced options for my bats, knowing that Glasnow is an elite arm that’s entirely too cheap on this slate.
    • There are a lot of ways you can go in tournaments tonight. deGrom and Aaron Nola are both usable. You can also use any of the pitchers listed above in tournaments. The final options I’d consider are Patrick Corbin and Trevor Rogers, although they are both a tier down for me. I’ll likely try to fit Bieber/Glasnow into my tournament builds, as well, but there are certain offenses that may for you to drop one of the two on this slate. Unlike cash games, tournament pitching isn’t nearly as simple, as you may be forced to pair a weaker option with one of the top guys to make your stacks work.
    • The two teams you’re attacking in cash games are the New York Yankees and White Sox. You can sprinkle in some Toronto Blue Jays, as well, but you’ll be focusing on New York and Chicago here. Both teams have a few players that are extremely cheap that will allow you to pay up for pitching. You also may not end up with the top options from each team but they should see plenty of at-bats in great matchups, making each stack elite. They will be littered throughout cash games today.
    • With so much ownership gravitating towards New York and Chicago, there are plenty of tournament stacks on this slate. For what it’s worth, I believe both of them can be used as full stacks in tournaments, as well. The Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, and Cincinnati Reds all stick out as GPP stacks today. If you’re stacking the Reds, focus heavily on lefties. Overall, it’s a great day for tournaments because we know where most of the ownership will go.
