Alcantara has been slightly worse against right-handed batters, allowing them to hit for a .260 average with a .426 slugging percentage and a .328 wOBA. He has given up a .249/.419/.325 line to left-handed batters, as well. Furthermore, Alcantara has allowed his opponents to post a .257/.432/.344 line against him on the road in 2019. Charlie Blackmon has caught fire recently, as he’s hitting .340 with a .596 slugging percentage and a .950 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns eight extra-base hits (two home runs) in those games. He also boasts 38% hard hit and 34% line drive rates with a 92 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Furthermore, Blackmon brings 0.023 wOBA and 0.012 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching into this game. As if that isn’t enough, he also has recorded a .411/.807/1.268 line at home in 2019. Trevor Story is another player who has been on fire. Over his last 10 games, he possesses a .375 average with a .750 slugging percentage and a 1.207 OPS. He boasts nine extra-base hits (three home runs) in those games, as well. Story also enters this game with 54% hard hit and 37% fly ball rates with a 99 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Similarly to Blackmon, he has been at his best in Colorado, where he has posted a .318/.677/1.067 line this season. Jon Gray will be taking the mound for the Rockies, and he has thrown extremely well this season. Still, Brian Anderson is hitting .359 with a .744 slugging percentage and a 1.175 OPS over his last 10 games. He has posted nine extra-base hits (three home runs) in those games, as well. Anderson also brings 45% hard hit and fly ball rates with a 92 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days into this game. He enters this game with 0.064 wOBA and 0.017 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching, as well. This play isn’t a knock against Gray, but more of a nod to Anderson tonight.
