He allowed right-handed batters to hit for a .284 average with a .511 slugging percentage and a .359 wOBA last season, although he has been slightly worse against left-handed batters this season. Furthermore, Vargas has allowed his opponents to post a .299/.561/.394 line on the road last season. Kike Hernandez has been ice cold recently, but he owns a .259 average with a .481 slugging percentage and an .800 OPS through 24 home games. He also owns a career .268 average with a .495 slugging percentage and an .852 OPS with a .226 ISO against left-handed pitching. Justin Turner has also dominated lefties throughout his career, as he owns a .336/.580/1.028 line with a .244 ISO in that situation. He has also caught fire recently, as he’s hitting .378 with a .459 slugging percentage and an .874 OPS over his last 10 games. Cody Bellinger has been at his best against right-handed pitching, but that may not matter because of the matchup. He enters this game with 51% hard hit and 46% fly ball rates with a 94 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He’s also hitting .275 with a .650 slugging percentage and a 1.046 OPS over his last 10 games. This trio should find plenty of success near the top of the Los Angeles lineup, and they each come with home run and multi-hit potential in an elite matchup.
